The original features described in the advertisement had been greatly exaggerated.
As the estate agent rattled out more of the same, well-rehearsed in her lies, Mona’s eyes wandered through the open window and into the darkness beyond. A chorus of whispers welcomed her home.
The agent made her play.
“The history of this property is interesting – it isn’t for everyone.” She looked deep into her. “It’s the perfect place to make use of your important gift, Mona.”
It seemed the agent had a gift too. Perhaps stalking, perhaps something else? Mona had always been better at figuring out the dead.

I think if Mona takes the house she is going to quickly be talking to the dead. Spooky.

As long as Mona is comfortable in that company she should take the house – just making sure she gets it at a knock down price!

There is nothing like an old building to bring out the ghosts. Nice read.

The agent looked deep into her. . . .eyes? I hope 🙂 Really good story, two insightful women.
